An India-based Ukrainian, Dar Gai made headlines when she was roped in as the intimacy coordinator for the film Gehraiyaan which starred Deepika Padukone in the lead. This was a first for a mainstream film. The intimacy coordinator primarily makes actors comfortable for intimate scenes and conducts various workshops to bring artists at ease. She has also worked as a producer, writer, and director and has undoubtedly paved the way for the need and importance of an intimacy coach on a film set to overlook the comfort and consent of artists.
